Hrvoje Štefančić

Full professor tenure (physics) at the Technical Faculty and Medical Faculty of the Catholic University of Croatia. He graduated from and obtained his MSc and PhD from the Faculty of Science at the University of Zagreb where he defended his doctoral dissertation Hierarchy of lifetimes of hadrons containing heavy quarks.

From 1997 until 2014 he worked at the Theoretical Physics Division of the Ruđer Bošković Institute in Zagreb. From his employment in 2012 until 2020 he held the position of Vice-Rector for Science at the Catholic University of Croatia and from 2020 until 2024 he held the position of Vice-Rector for International Relations.

RESEARCH INTERESTS:

Physical cosmology, complex systems science, interdisciplinary applications of methods of theoretical physics, science and religion
