Gordana Jurić

Gordana Jurić is a Master of Nursing with extensive clinical and teaching experience focused on the development of nursing practice, education, and the advancement of women’s health care.

She works at the Clinic for Obstetrics and Gynecology, University Hospital Centre Zagreb (KBC Zagreb) as the Head Nurse of the Department of Gynecologic Surgery and Urology, where she is responsible for managing nursing care, coordinating the nursing team, and implementing modern clinical practice standards.

Since 2016, she has been employed as a lecturer at the Faculty of Health Studies, Catholic University of Croatia, where she actively participates in teaching and in the development of nursing study programs.

She is a doctoral student in the PhD program “Sociology: Values, Identity and Social Change in Croatian Society” at the Catholic University of Croatia, where she has defended her dissertation synopsis titled “Stigmatization and Social Support for Women Undergoing Infertility Treatment.”

Gordana Jurić is also the founder and president of the Association of Nurses in Gynecology, which operates within the Croatian Nurses Association, aiming to strengthen professional identity and promote continuous professional development among nurses specializing in gynecology.

She is an active participant and organizer of numerous national and international congresses, symposia, and educational projects.

RESEARCH INTERESTS:

professional identity and development of the nursing profession,  nursing care in gynecology and women’s reproductive health, bioethical and sociological aspects of health care for gynecological patients
