Damir Važanić

Assistant Professor at the Faculty of Health Studies, Croatian Catholic University in Zagreb. He completed his undergraduate degree in the Nursing Program at the Medical Faculty of the University of Rijeka, and both his graduate and doctoral studies at the Medical Faculty of the University of Zagreb. He finished education in emergency medicine at the University of Melbourne, Australia, and also completed training in Healthcare Management.

He has professional experience working in hospital emergency department and pre-hospital emergency medical services. Later, he served as Deputy Director at the Croatian Institute for Emergency Medicine. Currently, he is employed by the Ministry of Health.
