Workshop on More Effective Learning for Students Held
The Family Centre and the Career Centre of the Catholic University of Croatia organised a workshop entitled “How to Study Smarter? Practical Strategies for Students” on 26 February 2026. The workshop was held in the Blessed Alojzije Stepinac Hall.

The initiative came from Teaching Assistant Paula Zujić from the University Department of Sociology, who recognised the need to provide students, particularly first-year students, with practical support in developing effective study habits. The idea was embraced by Assistant Professor Lana Batinić, PhD, co-founder of the Family Centre, and in cooperation with the Career Centre it was realised through a workshop prepared and led by Assistant Professor Dominik-Borna Ćepulić, PhD, from the University Department of Psychology.

During the workshop, students had the opportunity to learn more about how memory functions and how to adapt learning methods accordingly, as well as how to maintain motivation and better organise their time.
We hope that the knowledge and skills gained will be useful to participants already during this summer semester—and that learning will become not only more effective, but also more engaging and enjoyable.
