CUC History Students and Professors Participated in Kliofest – 12th History Festival

Once again this year, history students from the Catholic University of Croatia actively participated in Kliofest – the history festival held in Zagreb from May 13 to 16, 2025.

The main program took place at the National and University Library, while some events were held at other venues throughout the city, including the Bogdan Ogrizović Library and Reading Room, the Croatian State Archives, the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences, the Zagreb City Museum, the Faculty of Croatian Studies, and the Polish Cultural Association Mikolaj Kopernik.

Nine of our students volunteered as part of the festival’s organization. Kliofest concluded with a panel discussion on the role of history student associations, featuring representatives of the Ivan Lučić – Lucius History Students' Society and ISHA Zagreb, as well as Adrijana Kikić and Iva Mihekovec, secretary and vice-president of the CUC History Students' Club Homo volans.

Many professors from the University Department of History participated in Kliofest through round tables, panel discussions, presentations, and book promotions.

On Friday, May 16, 2025, in front of a large audience at the National and University Library, awards were ceremoniously presented to the best historians. The Tadija Smičiklas Award for the publication of archival material was awarded to Dr. Ante Bećir and Prof. Dr. Ivan Majnarić, a professor at our University.

We thank all the students and professors for their engagement and contributions to the organization and public representation of the University at this year’s Kliofest.
