Student Athletes Represent Catholic University of Croatia at Unisport Finals 2025

From 29 May to 1 June 2025, student athletes of the Catholic University of Croatia took part in the Unisport Finals 2025, the grand finale of Croatian university championships. This year’s edition was the largest to date, gathering over 1,500 students from 23 higher education institutions and featuring 170 teams from across the country.
 

Our University was represented in beach volleyball and tennis competitions. In beach volleyball, the teams consisted of Bruna Kahlina and Lara Matusina, and Nikola Renić and Hrvoje Polić, while in tennis, Stjepan Majcan and Luca Pecoraro competed on behalf of the University.

Bruna Kahlina and Lara Matusina delivered a highly competitive and spirited performance, reaching the quarterfinals, where they were unfortunately stopped by the team from the University of Applied Health Sciences in Zagreb.
 

Nikola Renić and Hrvoje Polić played a tense round-of-16 match, marked by several lead changes, but were ultimately defeated by a strong team from the Josip Juraj Strossmayer University.

In tennis, Stjepan Majcan and Luca Pecoraro also reached the quarterfinal stage. After additional classification matches, they secured 7th place overall in the tournament. Congratulations to all our athletes for their efforts, sportsmanship, and for proudly representing our University on the national stage!
