Professor Labaš gave a lecture on the safe use of the Internet and social networks

On Friday, April 25, 2025, at the Amadea Center, Prof. Danijel Labaš, Head of the University Department of Communication Sciences, held a lecture on the topic of safe use of the Internet and social networks for the 60+ generation.
 

Professor Labaš pointed out that despite the fact that part of the older population still prefers to use traditional media, an increasing number of older generations use the Internet and social networks as sources of information and entertainment. Social networks are particularly popular for maintaining social connections and contact with loved ones, and the Internet and new technologies are increasingly used for online banking, travel organization and online shopping, which can significantly facilitate their everyday lives. However, it is important to know how to behave properly on social networks and not fall for scams, disinformation and fake news.
