Professor Anita Kušar from the Slovenian Faculty of Applied Sciences on an Erasmus Teaching Visit to Our University

As part of the Erasmus programme in the 2025/2026 academic year, our University will host Prof. Anita Kušar, PhD, from the Slovenian Faculty of Applied Sciences (VIST – Faculty of Applied Sciences) and the Institute of Nutrition (Ljubljana), further strengthening international cooperation and the exchange of knowledge in the field of scientific methodology.

The aim of the visit is to deepen and expand existing institutional cooperation, with a particular focus on joint teaching and research activities in the area of scientific research methodology. During her stay at the Catholic University of Croatia (CUC), Prof. Kušar will participate in teaching and research activities at the Faculty of Health Studies, contributing to courses covering fundamental principles of research methodology and scientific writing.

The mobility programme includes participation in the courses Scientific and Professional Writing and Quantitative Research Paradigm within the graduate programme in Nursing. In addition to teaching activities, intensive research work will be carried out, focused on meta-analysis methodology, with practical application in the field of food and dietary supplements. Prof. Kušar’s collaborator at the Catholic University of Croatia is Prof. Livia Puljak, PhD. As part of the visit, meetings with a number of CUC researchers have also been organised with the aim of expanding existing cooperation. Prof. Kušar will spend three months at our University.

This mobility is expected to encourage long-term cooperation between CUC and VIST, including the development of joint research projects and further academic activities. Prof. Kušar’s visit will contribute to strengthening the research and teaching capacities of both institutions, their internationalisation, and the professional development of participating teachers and researchers through the creation of new international networks of cooperation.
