Medical Students Awarded for Poster Presentation at the Ninth Obesity Congress in Opatija

Medical students Kristina Jurković and Lara Herceg participated in the Ninth Congress on Obesity, held in Opatija from 24 to 26 April 2026. For the conference, they prepared a poster presentation titled “Obesity-related glomerulopathy,” addressing a condition that increasingly affects not only older populations but also younger individuals—both globally and in Croatia—making it a significant contemporary public health concern.

The poster was developed under the mentorship of Assist. Prof. Josipa Josipović, PhD, and was awarded Best Student Poster at the conference.
