Drama Section of the Catholic University of Croatia Established

On 27 November 2025, an introductory gathering of members of the newly established Drama Section of the Catholic University of Croatia was held in the University Council Hall. In a warm and cheerful atmosphere, the plans and goals of this new student group were presented.

The event was attended by Vice-Rector for Quality, Identity and Mission, Prof. Ante Crnčević, Ph.D., and the University chaplain Rev. Branimir Jagodić. In his address, delivered on behalf of the Rector, Prof. Željko Tanjić, Ph.D., Vice-Rector Crnčević expressed his joy at the launch of new cultural activities at the University, especially as they were initiated by students themselves. He highlighted his satisfaction with the number of participants and the excellent organization of the Drama Section’s beginnings, which is evident in the enthusiasm and commitment shown by most members. Speaking about the value of amateur activities—since they arise from genuine love for what unites their participants—he encouraged members to nurture community spirit, which can greatly enrich university life.

He offered special thanks to Luka Vinter, a first-year undergraduate history student and artistic director of the Drama Section, for his dedication and readiness in gathering and motivating participants. Vinter in turn thanked the Vice-Rector and the University leadership for their openness to this initiative and for the strong support already provided.

A brief address was also prepared by Leon Brnad, a graduate history student and executive producer of the Drama Group; his message was read in his absence by colleague Jeronim Grbeša. Bringing the event to a close, Rev. Branimir Jagodić shared a short reflection emphasizing fellowship:
“In your work within this group, do not forget to socialize and to enjoy what you do.”
