Dr. Zlatko Vidačković Attended Erasmus+ Training in Dublin
Dr. Zlatko Vidačković, external associate at the Department of Communication Studies of the Catholic University of Croatia, participated in an Erasmus+ training course at Dorset College in Dublin from 11 to 15 August 2025, titled "AI – Artificial Intelligence for Higher Education in the Workplace."

The course was designed for lecturers and researchers in higher education seeking to enhance their knowledge and skills in applying artificial intelligence in professional contexts.

The program covered the fundamental principles of AI, from its development and basic concepts of machine learning to the latest advancements and interdisciplinary applications in education and science. Special emphasis was placed on the practical use of AI tools in everyday academic work, including preparing academic documents and presentations, generating visual materials and content, and improving the efficiency of administrative processes.
Participants also examined the benefits, limitations, risks, and ethical challenges of AI, particularly in light of its rapid integration into work environments. Discussions highlighted AI’s potential for fostering inclusivity, such as supporting neurodivergent users, and methods for recognizing AI-generated content in both social and academic discourse.
The final workshop focused on developing and presenting written and oral work using AI tools, with participants receiving individual feedback on style, content, and presentation. In this way, alongside theoretical insights into the ethical and methodological aspects of AI in higher education, participants gained practical competencies for the responsible integration of AI technologies into teaching and research.
