Assistant Professor Trbušić Presented at an International Scientific Conference in Zadar

Assist. Prof. Davor Trbušić, Ph.D., from the Department of Communication Science at the Catholic University of Croatia, participated in the 15th Central and Eastern European Communication and Media Conference (CEECOM 2025), held from 6 to 7 June 2025 in Zadar.
 

At the conference, he presented a research paper co-authored with Assoc. Prof. Boris Beck, Ph.D., from the Faculty of Political Science in Zagreb, titled: Death as News: A Qualitative Discourse Analysis of Reporting on the 24sata News Portal (2018–2025).

The paper explores rhetorical and discursive strategies used to portray death as a commercially profitable media spectacle, with particular emphasis on the ethical and societal implications of such an approach.
