A meeting between Bavarian and Croatian universities was held in Regensburg on 5 and 6 June 2025 with the aim of improving the quality of study and establishing new collaborations in the field of scientific research.

At the "Croatian-Bavarian Higher Education Day," welcome speeches were delivered by the President of the University of Regensburg, Prof. Dr. Udo Hebel, and the Vice-Rector of the University of Zagreb, Prof. Dr. Jurica Pavičić. Mr. Nikolas Djukić, Executive Director of the Bayhost agency, also welcomed participants on behalf of the organisers.

The Catholic University of Croatia (CUC) was represented by the Vice-Rector for Science, Prof. Dr. Roberto Antolović, and Assoc. Prof. Dr. Odilon Singbo. They actively participated in several parallel sessions and presented the Catholic University of Croatia, including its study programmes, scientific research capacities, and current achievements. The presentation of CUC’s data and development potential attracted significant interest from various Bavarian institutions such as the University of Regensburg, Neu-Ulm University of Applied Sciences, the Institute of Psychology & Behavioral Science, OTH Amberg-Weiden, and others.

Concrete steps toward further collaboration—including the organisation and participation in summer schools, as well as the establishment of joint study programmes—are already being actively negotiated, particularly with Neu-Ulm University of Applied Sciences.

The participation of CUC’s representatives was well received and highly valuable, and it is expected to contribute to the expansion and deepening of academic cooperation with Bavarian universities.
