Barbara Balaž is a member of the research group D.E.C.I.D.E.
She is a doctoral student at the Doctoral Degree Program in Psychologyat the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences at the University of Zagreb..
In 2015, she has obtained the academic title of Master of Psychology at the Faculty of Croatian Studies at the University of Zagreb, defending her master thesis entitled “The role of positive academic emotions in academic achievement of high school students“.”
She has been teaching assistant at the Department of Psychology of the Catholic University of Croatia since 2015, where she participates in teaching subjects from the field of educational psychology, positive psychology and non-experimental quantitative methodology.
During 2016, she has participated in the scientific project ” Parents’ work, family economic hardship, and well-being of parents and children“ (a project funded by the Catholic University of Croatia, led by Assoc. Prof. Marina Merkaš, PhD).
So far, she has published five scientific papers in co-authorship and one independent paper, and has participated in five international and nine domestic conferences with a total of 18 presentations.
During 2017, she was the President of the Organizing Committee of the 1st International Scientific Conference and during 2019 a member of the Organizing Committee of the 2nd International Scientific Conference of the Department of Psychology at the Catholic University of Croatia.
She is a member of the Croatian Psychological Chamber, the Croatian Psychological Society, the European Association for Developmental Psychology (EADP) and the European Association for Research on Learning and Instruction (EARLI).
