Online meeting of DIG HEALTH project partners
DigHealth project partners met online on March 19, 2025 to coordinate ongoing activities and next steps.
✔️ Stakeholder data collection on telemedicine education and training needs in Ethiopia and Somalia is ongoing
✔️ Work is underway on a comprehensive report on the state of telemedicine in both countries
✔️ Planning for staff training for Somali and Ethiopian university educators this September
✔️ Preparations for the purchase of equipment to strengthen local educational infrastructure
📘 About the project DigHealth - Digital Health Microqualifications for Ethiopia and Somalia is an Erasmus+ capacity building initiative aimed at improving health education through innovative digital health microqualifications. The project supports telemedicine, e-health and digital literacy – empowering universities, educators and healthcare professionals in both countries.
🌍 With a strong EU-Africa partnership, DigHealth helps shape accessible, high-quality and future-proof health systems.
The project involves a consortium of 10 partner organisations from 5 countries, including the Croatian Catholic University (Croatia), Rochester Institute of Technology Croatia (Croatia), University of Piraeus (Greece), IHF asbl (Belgium), Addis Ababa University (Ethiopia), Bule Hora University (Ethiopia), Jigjiga University (Ethiopia), University of Hargeisa (Somalia), Horseed International University (Somalia) and Somali Education and Youth Development Action (Somalia).
